Get Ahead: Next Summer's Playlist

The playlists for designer's runways are often overlooked during all the commotion of fashion week. I, a self-proclaimed music lover, have even fallen guilty in years past. But not this year. Vanity Fair has indulged us musical fashionistas with their "New York Fashion Week Spring-Summer 2011 Playlist," a list of some top designers and their corresponding runway tracks. Here are a few of my favorite hookups:

Band of Outsiders
Thomas Newman, selections from the scores of American Beauty, Angels in America, Erin Brokovich, Little Children, and Road to Perdition
Clint Mansell, selections from Requiem for a Dream,
Arvo Pärt, “Spiegel im Spiegel”
