Ladies, please don't buy pre-cut cut-offs (it even sounds strange) from designer boutiques, department stores, or even some vintage shops! Be a smart shopper and whip out your own scissors instead... once you start, you won't stop. For example, I practically have these exact same shorts, a few pairs actually, in both darker and lighter shades. I bought them both for anywhere between $2 and $3, some from Goodwill, some from the SPCA thrift store. They we're both originally Levi "mom-jeans," which I molded into adorable little daisy dukes. Can you tell the difference? I actually kind of like mine better if anything :)
And if that's not enough, you can even get a little crafty with things like cute little patches and crazy colors. I just might have to play around with this myself. But whatever you decide to do, make sure to do it yourself.

If you're not down with the whole high-waisted thing quite yet, you can even just cut off old jeans for a newer take on the cut-offs. These are some I did, and some examples of a few you can buy if you don't want to save money :)

who knew that mom jeans would have a second life as short shorts? the universe moves in mysterious ways!
ReplyDeleteVery true, I hate how much stores charge for cutoffs. Its funny that they charge more for a pair of torn jean shorts than full jean pants.
